This morning (April 9), Squamish birder Chris Dale captured this footage of a tree swallow (Tachycineta bicolor) in the Squamish Estuary.
According to the 小蓝视频SPCA, six swallow species call 小蓝视频 home for at least part of the year, including the tree swallow.
•Both sexes tend to its young.
•Babies must leave the nest 16 to 24 days after hatching, and they receive little care after that
•It tends to return to the same nest site in subsequent years if reproduction is successful
*Its diet consists primarily of insects
