Washington lawyer sues Trump administration over revocation of his security clearance
A prominent Washington attorney Mark Zaid says in the lawsuit filed Monday that the presidential action stripping him of his clearance has hampered his legal practice and that he has multiple clients for whom he can no longer access classified information needed in order to continue representing them.
The lawsuit also calls the revocation of the clearance an act of 鈥渂latant鈥 and 鈥渋mproper political retribution." Zaid is a veteran national security lawyer who has represented government officials and whistleblowers.
