The 小蓝视频 is excited to announce that local journalist Andrew Hughes has joined our newsroom as a full-time reporter.
Hughes joins editor Jennifer Thuncher and reporter Steven Chua as part of the editorial team.
He started Tuesday, Sept. 6.
While originally from the U.S., he has lived in Squamish since 2016.
He is a recent graduate of the Master of Journalism program at the University of British Columbia, during which he interned at The 小蓝视频.
Before becoming a full-time reporter here, he worked in current affairs for C小蓝视频 in Vancouver.
Hughes will be covering a variety of topics in his role, including a new business beat the newsroom is piloting.
He will also be responsible for The 小蓝视频's upcoming TikTok account.
When not reporting, he says you can find him looking for secret benches in the woods or losing at board games against his wife and friends.
